So how does this benefit you?

Should you now go and get yourself a digital job?

Job Sustainability In the Digital World

It’s simple, for many businesses their main goal is to make money, more precisely to make a profit, an easy way to increase their profit margin is to lower their costs, and what’s the most efficient way to do this? Replace employees for cheaper more efficient employees, actually robots. Everybody would like  a sustainable job and one they feel secure with, but in this day and age, that is not always guaranteed for you, especially if you can be replaced by a robot. Although, if you have a digital skill which companies can use to help them become market leaders in their industry, you’re almost guaranteed a sustainable job for the foreseeable future and one which robots can't replace you. So as not to be replaced by a robot you should definitely think about getting a digital job, especially one where robots will be dependent on you to exist in the first place.

Businesses Need Digital Talent in Their Organisation

By 2017, it is estimated there will be 950,000 unfilled digital jobs in just Europe alone. Now if you’re someone who is struggling to find a job, then hopefully you've just had a light-bulb moment, learning digital skills should now sound very tempting to you. The fact of the matter is, businesses want to strive to be the best and with the way technology is growing, they can’t do this without digital talent in their organisation. They need your digital skills to help them leap in to the future!

Flexibility With A Digital Job

As covered before in a past blog post,"Is it time the 9-5pm working day died" the traditional 9-5 job is slowly disappearing and the reason is this; Digital jobs are changing how we work. There are many advantages in getting yourself a digital job, however flexibility and working remotely is certainly a big attraction and a digital career can provide that. Some digital jobs may not even require you to go into the office at all to work, all you'll need is the appropriate equipment and then from then on, your meetings with your co-workers would always be virtual! This may not suit everyone but for many people it will provide a good work-life balance, enabling you to work the hours you choose to and when you're at your most productive.
