The mobile way is becoming the most popular form of job seeking.

Being a mobile job seeker is becoming easy and convenient.

Thanks to a range of apps and mobile websites, it’s possible to become a mobile job seeker. Search for the latest vacancies and apply directly from your mobile phone or tablet computer.

Here are some tips to help you be the best mobile job seeker there is!

Get the Mobile Apps

The first thing you need to do is download the mobile apps for job seeking. There are many different ones available, whether you want to update your CV, find new vacancies or stay on top of the latest news about positions and companies. Prepare for your interviews while you’re travelling and search for jobs from your mobile on your lunch break—nobody has to know!

Track the Job from Your Mobile

Not all websites are mobile friendly yet, especially when it comes to job applications. Use your mobile to search for positions and then make a note of them. You can go straight back to them when you get your lap-top out.

Email yourself the job listings so it’s easy to find them.

If email is troublesome, download an note taking app where you can store the link easily and go back to it at home. This can also work the opposite way around by emailing yourself your CV. You can then quickly forward that on to a prospective employer where the application process is a simple email. Each time, tailor the body of the email to the specific job.

Get Notifications Straight to Your Phone

You never know when a new position comes up on the job boards. Set up the notifications so they come straight through to your phone. You’re more likely to read it, instead of it landing in your email junk pile. This isn’t possible with all sites yet but many site owners are looking into it as more people search in this way.

Thank the Interviewer

After your interviewer, send a thank you email. Do this from your mobile just after you leave. It puts your name right at the top of the inbox and you’re remembered for being polite. This goes a long way in the selection process.

Being a savvy mobile job seeker is important.

Don’t waste time on long application forms. Search for jobs with the apps available, save the links and get it all done when you get home!
